Our last night in Italy
We spent out last night in Italy in the lovely town of Trieste, which is along the Italian -Slovene border. We didn't have much time to site see but what we saw during our short time, we definitely liked. We didn't get to see Trieste's famous Grotto Gigante, the world's largest cave, or the International Regatta that had taken place that very morning, but we did get to go to our favorite supermarket Aldi's! We are are fan of Aldi's in Baltimore so were more than happy to tour its aisles and check out the the limited offer aisle :)
We are here in Trieste overnight in route to Ljubljana, Slovenia where we'll pick up our rental RV to drive down the coast here to Athens, Greece over the next month. We arrive in Ljubljana tomorrow to get oriented to the RV, buy some used bikes to use for the month, and start our tour along the coast to learn about a region of the world that is new to all of us. We are excited to have a consistent "home" for the month where we can unpack, cook and have the flexibility to cruise and stop where we like.
Our RV experience in the Canadian Rockies opened all sorts of options to us and we are excited to get back to RV life. Grazie Mille, Italy and see you in Slovenia!
